God's Will

A lot of preachers teach about discerning Gods will. How to find peace through prayer or meditating on Gods word etc. That is all fine but before we can find Gods will in our lives first we need to sync up with his commandments. That is before we can seek out his special revelation for our lives we must first do when he has already taught us. Jesus taught us to love the lord God with all our hearts and soul and strength and love our neighbor as ourselves. He said on these two commandments rest the law and the prophets. Also loving God means doing what he has said In the Bible. The Bible says (Heb 13:4 NASB) "Fornicators and Adulterers God will judge." So if your married you aren't allowed to have sex with anyone but your wife, or that's adultery. If your single you aren't allowed to have sex until you get married and if you do have sex with some other unmarried person that's fornication.

A lot of people will say I can't find Gods will for my life, but first they need to do what he has already told them. God says in Issiah 59:2 "Your iniquities have made a seperation between you and your God."  Then when you are free from the shackles of sin God can more easily intervene on our behalf. Sin is like a gunk or grease obstructing us from Gods will. Clean it off and you will see more clearly Gods will for your life. As Jesus said first take the plank out of your own eye and you will see clearly to take the speck out of your neighbors eye. Basically in the final analysis, stop sinning that's Gods will for your life and then he can greatly bless you and show you things you never saw before. That is Gods Will.
